This orientation is for teachers and parents of toddlers (2 and 3 years of age). Working with toddlers is fun, but it can also be exacerbating. This course is designed to help you create reasonable goals and introduce age-appropriate methods for toddlers. Knowing what to expect, planning for success, and selecting teaching methods and fun learning activities are the key to success, and we are always open to your suggestions so please use the parent-teacher forum if you would like to share.
The Toddler's Baha'i class is for children ages 2 to 3 years old. It is strongly advised, especially during the first few classes for a parent or guardian to accompany the child. The adult does not have to be actively invovled but the mere presence of a loved one is often enough to calm the child.
Focus is on easy learning of basic virtues, social learning through playing, art, music, singing, dancing, and physical activities. Additional age-appropriate lessons in English language arts and early math is available.
- Teacher: Parvin Lewis
